Current Applications
The following are components of a suite of smart card applications. They can be installed together in an integrated total solution, or deployed individually to suit your needs.
The Virtual Secretary concept, as a Service Terminal Point (STP) that offers a series of services to the University Community Members, can be held with the inclusion of all these applications within the Virtual Campus Project. Any PC connected to the Internet and with a card holder device can conceptually become a Virtual Secretary. Some of the services offered in these STP are : Transcript consultation, Room reservation, Sports bookings, Tax payments, Course registration, firm Co-op/practicum enrolments, Scholarship application and submission forms, Ecomobile, etc. Up to 27 different services have been developed thus far.
The Smart Card Management Circuit Project is in charge of defining, and even more important, enriching the methodology involved, right from the time the person applies for up until he/she actually receives it.
But this application goes further and includes a series of mechanisms that allow keeping, adapting and having coherent information stored both in the chip and the data base all through the Smart Card validity.
